Our Scheme Delivery Framework team (SDF) alongside the wider Yorkshire North East Highways Community have won a Highways UK Excellence Award in the Team Of The Year Category. The award recognises the remarkable collaborative efforts of all 35 supply chain partners to support the local community and leave a lasting legacy whilst working to renew major roads for National Highways across Yorkshire.
Over the last 18 months our team have arranged and attended many social value activities held by supply chain partners including sponsoring a fashion show for Retina UK and have donated to local foodbanks. One excellent project our team recently were involved in was transforming an empty garden space for Bless Community Service. This is a local community charity, based in the village of Upton that provides vital day to day services to local people to help enhance their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being. The team resurfaced the area, built new foundations and a new outbuilding, donated garden furniture and much more. You can read more about the project here.
