Learn, grow and thrive – Waterloo team welcomes youth group

Our One Team Wessex team working on the roof at Waterloo Station were delighted to host students from the Serious About Youth group for their ‘Construkt’ Project.

This initiative, initially conceived as part of the ICE Presidents Apprentices Scheme in 2014, is a dynamic program focusing on providing young people with a pathway into the engineering and construction industry.

During the day, the students received a presentation from our Network Rail Scheme Project Manager, delving into the background and significance of the roof renewal scheme. Our site team, including Ujjal Khalique, Usman Saeed, and Eleni Tstatlidou, were also on hand to any answer questions and gave the group  a tour around the site.

Great feedback from the Serious About Youth Group

Thank you to everyone involved for organising this visit and helping  the next generation witness first-hand exciting construction works and insights into the challenges associated with delivering a large complex project.
