What good feels like

Giving back to the community up North

Members of our Scheme Delivery Framework working in the North West to renew and enhance major roads came together with our supply chain partners, members of the public from the local community and local charities to help transform an empty outdoor space at Eskdale house into a thriving green vegetable patch.

In just a few days the team installed several raised planters, cleared vegetation, excavated existing soft ground, created pathways to allow wheelchair access to planters, jetted and cleaned existing paving slabs and much more. The team along with our supply chain partner TYLA provided all the equipment and donated a greenhouse.

Eskdale House is a local charity in Kendal who house and support children and young adults with learning difficulties. This refreshed green and growing area will offer crucial learning opportunities for young individuals promoting their physical and mental well-being.

Well done and thank you to everyone involved for giving up your time to help the local community.

Delighted with the team’s hard work over the last year we’re proud to share that our customer, National Highways North East has awarded us an additional 13 road renewal schemes within the area.

One word – AMAZING! Thank you guys so much for getting involved in the Give A Day to Kendal initiative. Your efforts have made such a difference to the residents and staff at Eskdale House, giving them an outdoor space they can thoroughly enjoy for years to come. Isn’t it great what we can achieve, when we work together to leave a lasting legacy in the places where we work. Keep in touch & thanks again.
