Festive Support in our Communities

In the run up to Christmas, members of our all our delivery teams gave up their time to help serve local communities and donated much needed items to ensure everyone had a joyful Christmas.

Our HS2 project team working in Aylesbury  donated £150 worth of gifts to the Inspire Bucks Children Gift Appeal!

We donated £2,000 towards the infamous “Wonky” Christmas tree in March, Cambridgeshire. You can read more about the tree on BBC News and on the Fenland District Council website.

Our Wales & Western railway team  hosted a Christmas jumper day and in total raised over £200 for Save The Children.

The Hertfordshire Framework  team supported South Hill Centre’s third annual Christmas Carol concert by closing the road,  which had allowed the concert to safely take place; saving the charity £1500!

The Harlow project team donated £200 worth of adapted hand garden tools for people with arthritis, disabilities and neurodivergent people to the Butterfly Effect Wellbeing Hub!

The A46 Walsgrave project Team donated nearly £400 worth of essential items to two local charities; Emmaus and Hope Community Projects  who support disadvantaged families and individuals in Coventry.

Our Regional Civil Engineering team collected and donated £700 of Tesco vouchers to Elsie’s Rose Charity ;who help families during tough times.

A huge thanks to Octavius for your practical and financial support with our Christmas Carol event again this year here at South Hill Centre. This whole event again brought a lovely start to the Christmas period and was uplifting for everyone who attended as we reflected on the Joyful message that Christmas really brings.
